My aim is to help others reduce stress and, as a result, reduce or eliminate the subsequent illness, dis-ease or physiological imbalances that come from experiencing too much stress. I use a three-fold process: Decompress, Manage, Assess. Decompress is about bringing your body back to baseline. Manage is about adopting new daily practices to help maintain your health. Assess is using techniques to help you address stress as it arises--Self Regulation is central to this.

My entry into learning how to heal through one’s own body intelligence began over a decade ago. At the time, I was struggling with Complex Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, cancer, IBS, fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue. I was in a very difficult place when I found my way into the care of a therapist who made the introduction to the idea that I could find healing intrinsically rather than extrinsically.

At the time, I had been practicing yoga for a decade and it had been my one reprieve. This led me to become certified and start teaching. With increased dedication and practice, I had two revelatory experiences that changed my life: breathing and tremoring. In one singular experience I learned how breathing (or lack there of) has an immediate impact on our mental-emotional-physiological wellbeing. The second experience occurred over the course of months, whereby I found myself “tremoring". These lessons concluded with my therapist clearing me of CPTSD and feeling for myself peace for the first time.

Breathing & Tremoring led me to become a Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercise (TRE) practitioner and a Heartmath Certified Practitioner. Yoga, TRE and Heartmath techniques are how I learned to turn around disorders that Western Medicine struggled to help me with. It was this struggle for support and answers that led me to look inward to find and generate my own healing from within. These tools are so simple and practical that anyone can do them and find their way to healing.
