Before becoming a therapist, I was an interior designer for nearly twenty years. I began to have a stirring for more soulful connection in my work, and a desire to help others more deeply. Then came the Covid shutdown, and that gave me the space and time to explore a new direction. In 2021, I made the choice to go back to school and become an expressive arts therapist. One of my first research papers was on the topic of healing and the power of sound in ADD. That was when I first discovered HeartMath and the breadth of research that they had done on the heart's biofield. It blew me away. Stuff I had always sensed, but here was all this science backing it up. I have been practising HM tools ever since.
As soon as I could, I got my HeartMath clinical certification. These tools have been priceless for me, helping me to stay grounded on a daily basis, connect to my body, my heart, and the quantum field. The inner balance sensor is a fun way to stay engaged with the breath and daily practice, and makes it a bit of a game, as I can observe my personal trends in coherence over time. I'm thrilled to share these simple yet powerful tools with clients as a resource for building greater emotional and somatic regulation and safety.
