About Ramón

My name is Ramón Estrada. Nice to meet you! I’m 43 years old, married, and have two kids. I was born in Mexico City, and have lived in Veracruz, Madrid, Lisbon, and Monterrey before arriving here in Barcelona. I’m a massive fan of jazz and Sherlock Holmes. I’m creative, curious, and observant. I love to read and learn anything and everything. Lend me a book or send me an article about leadership, creativity, innovation, coaching, neuroscience, or philosophy, and I’ll be in my element.

As an executive coach and trainer, I help leaders that want to improve their organizations to grow through creative and innovative approaches. I aim to help entrepreneurs in the scale-up stage and intrapreneurs. As a several time entrepreneur, it’s a world I’m familiar with.

I studied Industrial Engineering at Tec de Monterrey in Mexico City, and have an MBA from IESE Business School in Barcelona. I’ve completed numerous management courses in private equity and venture capital at Harvard Business School and UC Berkeley. Still, by trade (amongst other things), I’m an executive coach certified by the ICF and a member of the IESE Executive Coaching Unit in Barcelona. I first dipped my toes into the warm waters of the coaching world 20 years ago, and I’ve never looked back.

My executive coaching practice has lead me to work with amazing professionals from different countries, such as Argentina, Chad, China, Colombia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, Rusia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the UK, and the USA.

How I use the HeartMath System

My method involves giving leaders a boost when they’re in their most challenging moments (as an entrepreneur, you’ll know these moments are not as few and far between as we’d like!). I believe everything can be solved with a bit of creativity. I always try to build a culture of innovation and intrapreneurship into the organizations I’m lucky enough to work with.

That's why I have three certifications from HeartMath to support my professional practice: as a HeartMath Trainer, HeartMath Coach, and as a Stress and Well-Being Assessment provider. And I use HeartMath Systems as:

  • Easy-to-learn self-regulation tools
  • Resilience-building practices
  • Engaging, real-time monitoring and feedback technology with the Inner Balance and emWave Pro
