Dr. Barrie Sands is a practicing Veterinarian for over 27 years. She completed a small animal surgery and medical internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in NYC. She worked in New York City in private practice and then was offered a position to be staff clinician on the Emergency Critical Care team at a Referral Center in San Diego. She has been at that hospital for the last 23 years. Having a passion for wellness she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and became certified in Acupuncture for animals. She opened her Holistic practice in 2003 and institutes healing modalities such as Acupuncture, cold LASER therapy, Herbal and homeopathic therapies, Medicinal botany, Nutritional consultations, Physical and massage therapy, and various types of Energy medicine. She is a recently published author and has lectured extensively on both emergency medicine and holistic health care. Her vision is to help co- create and facilitate body -mind - spiritual wellness and health in both animals and humans.
