About Michele


Michele Skipper, NTP

Health Educator

Michele is a graduate of Louisiana State University and has over 30 years of experience in educating people.  She is a Nutritional Therapist Practitioner specializing in nutritional consulting with a wide range of lifestyle coaching techniques.  She provides a holistic approach that includes nutritional guidance and stress management to achieve optimal health and to activate the body’s innate healing abilities. As a HeartMath coach, Michele helps clients utilize techniques to manage stress and support overall health and well-being. She facilitates in teaching clients to reduce their stress response, develop self-regulation skills and build emotional resilience.   Michele will help you develop a deeper understanding and greater control over the foods and lifestyle choices that support good health and wellness.  She is also a Certified NES Practitioner, a Certified HeartMath Coach and a Certified Lifestyle Educator.  She has been with Sterling Family Practice since 2012.



How I use the HeartMath System


Upon meeting, we discuss personal goals for improvement and then develop a plan to achieve those goals.  Through follow up meetings, you will learn 6 different techniques for intelligent energy management and three strategies to support your emotional resilience.  At the end of every session, there is a biofeedback segment which will support the techniques learned and allow the learner to have real time feedback to help them grown in personal resilience and health.  Through the HeartMath system of building coherence, you have an opportunity to improve sleep, digestion, cognitive support and overall health by learning techniques to lower your stress response and build coherence over time.
