I am a former school administrator with a background in qualitative research and a keen interest in human development, interpersonal relationships, and group dynamics. My research has focused on relationships between parents and teachers, and in my professional life I have worked in an independent school setting with all the varied stakeholders--parents, teachers, administrators, staff, board of trustees, students, and alumni. I am well aware of the demands facing school leaders, teachers, and administrative staff on a daily basis in addition to the highly relational work they do with children all day long. I believe that developing self-awareness and acting in alignment with your values is the key to functioning with greater ease and that when you are able to be authentic and fully present, you are sharing your unique gifts with the world.
How I use the HeartMath System
Using HeartMath Techniques, I help school leaders and others develop their awareness of the impact of emotions on communication, resilience, and wellness so that they can function with ease and lead from their hearts, inspiring the people around them to work together to implement bold initiatives in the service of realizing a better future for children.
